The Stand

I finished up the book I was reading (Survivor, but Chuck the Fight Club author), and I needed another book to read, but with my time winding down, and a little free time on my hands, I really wanted to find The Stand.  Now, I've been checking out our landing library for about a month now, and it never comes in.  I think they have every other Steven King book there.

So yesterday I was walking around the offices with Tony looking for something, and he opens up a cupboard filled with books.  And right there on the bottom, in the front center is The Stand.  So thank you, Kaylee Legan, whoever you are, for donating your book to… wherever you donated it to.  I have it now.  Thanks again.

Today was one of my half days.  I got up a little early to go for a short run.  I have a blister on the back of my right heel that I got from my sneakers.  It's a little smaller than a dime.  So I ripped it off and covered it up with a bandaid.  THEN I went for a short run.

We had a power outage in our apartment last night.  I didn't notice it because my alarm clock is battery operated.  But after I showered and got dressed, I laid down for a minute and fell asleep.  I woke up in time to get to work, thank goodness.  But Sean did not.  I expected to wake up when I heard him get up, but his alarm clock was plugged into the wall and didn't go off at all.

Work was work.  I left early because it was one of my half days.  So I came back to my room and read a little more of my new book.  Then I fell asleep for a bit.  There was a fly in our apartment that kept bothering me while I slept.  It finally woke me up for good.  I was really mad at that darn fly.  So I made it a point to track it down and I nailed that sucker with a flip-flop.

Then I read some more, played on the computer, called Sara and the kids, did some cardio, took another shower.  And here I sit now.  Banging out another day on my journal.

  1. I think H1N1 has "The Stand" on a lot of peoples' brains these days!
