Thursday

For some reason, Mike, Chip, and I were all in a grumpy mood this morning when we got to work.  Chip is having a difficult time sleeping.  SO am I, but I think my problem is that I have the most uncomfortable bed.  We made a pot of coffee, and it was a bad pot.  Don't know what went wrong with it, but it was just bad.

So Chip's iPod was on shuffle, and the old Ice Cube song "It Was a Good Day" came on.  We all found it pretty funny that none of us were having a good day.  And we kept getting interrupted, so we had to keep starting over from the beginning of the song.  Eventually, we made it through the whole song – and it turned out to be a good day.

Waaaait for it…

Here it comes…

Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.

There.  I did it.  Moving on now…

When I got back to my apartment after work (I left early by the way), I got some exciting news.  Yesterday Sara made an offer on the house at 8022, and the sellers accepted it!  Yaaay!  There are so many houses on the market right now – the seller didn't even come back with a counter offer – they just must be happy to have a buyer.  This is a house that Sara just knew when they were driving thought the neighborhood that this was the one.  I'm very happy.

So now we just have to go through the goat-rope of working with the finance company.  We're already approved through USAA, but other companies want business also.  So we're shopping around.

And it'll just be a huge relief to know that, as we're driving out west, we have a place that we're heading to.  We have an address for the movers to take our stuff to, an address to forward our mail to, an address so we can get Rebecca enrolled in Kindergarten.

Sara has done a great job finding that house.  I'm sure that Sara and Gary had a good time driving all around and looking at houses.  There does seem to be one problem with the area.  There aren't any Dunkin' Donuts around.  Anywhere.  I'm not a Starbucks hater (well, maybe a little) but I'm sure we'll find something.
