Back in the Saddle

Today was a really busy day. Chip is being a little slow handing the reins over to me with the projects that he’s working, but that is completely understandable. He has been the pointman on working on these packages for so long, that he’s working himself out of a job and into more of a supervisory position.

But today went by really, really fast today. I worked two packages… completed one and almost finished the second. I was at the office until almost eleven at night I was so wrapped up with what I was doing. It is very interesting working with Chip because he also never did this work before coming to this office. As a matter of fact, I’ve been doing it a few weeks longer than he has. But he has a different background and his perspective on what we do is a nice change from what we had at the Boston office.

I’m still wearing my pedometer every day. I’m not getting hung up on trying to beat my highest day or anything like that. I’m just trying to get 10K steps per day now. Today I racked up 13,903 steps. But a lot of those steps are actually using stairs, so I don’t know how accurately I could guesstimate steps to miles.

I bonked my head really good today. I was putting clothes away at lunch, and I stood up quickly and cracked my temple on a shelf. I saw stars for a moment. I thought I was bleeding, but it wasn’t that bad. I do have a couple of small cuts that are roughly the same distance of the top and bottom of a single shelf on my forehead. Everyone noticed at work. What could I say?

Thank goodness tomorrow is a late reporting in day. I need to sleep.
