My apartment is in the basement. And we have no windows. I wake up in complete darkness regardless of what time I wake up. Usually when I leave for the gym in the morning is the first time I realize that the sun is actually up. And because of the hours we work, it's night time when we leave the office. And of course, we have no windows in our office so we don't see the sun during the day either. We do get out a few times a week if we drop off our laundry or burn trash or something… Most of us are turning pastey white. And it's not cool, like we are cast members of Twilight or anything.
One problem that I've run into is that my watch is solar powered. The darn thing started crapping out on my today. I didn't even realize that the battery was dying. I just don't spen enough time outside. Chip was sitting with his back to me and had his watch hand was behind his head. His watch was dead also. So I took both of our watches outside and hid them someplace facing the sun for two hours so they'd charge.
I think my watch will be good for another couple of months.
One of the things my job entails is making power point slides. I'd like to think that I'm pretty good at it. But I hate making a slide, and having to re-make it over and over and over again because the requirements change all the darn time.
It's Friday again. And it was steak night again. And they didn't have baked potatoes. :( My buddy Joe had to go work off site for the past few days. He was in Kansas for four days and he was telling us at dinner that it was hot as Hades there. That's not really what he said, but you get the point.
My buddy Kay saw my Starbucks cup today and commented on it. This is the cup with the pictures of Liam, Sara, and Rebecca inside it. We were talking and he mentioned it would be funny to have pictures of three or four different women in wedding dresses in the cup. I figured if I also had a picture of the big Tabernacle in Salt Lake, I could get away with it. What? That's how I roll!
Maybe not.
It's getting late. Good night.
