Independance Day

Another great day.  I woke up early and went for a run before the smog rolled in.  I still think it's crap that we can't run while listening to iPods.  But it was a good run and I felt pretty good afterwards. 

Mike and I got into a snippy little fight when we got to work.  I think we both just needed some coffee.  It's hard to maintain a pleasant work environment when you're looking at the same two dudes for 72 hours a week.  Chip does leave for the other office complex from time to time, and he is senior to us – so that's a different dynamic.

By the time we both had finished our second cups of coffee, we had let bygones be bygones.

Chip was gone for a long meeting today.  He was out almost six hours.  And since most everyone was off work today, I got a LOT done.  It felt good to almost have my stuff done by dinner time.  The company had a big BBQ at dinner with everything 4th of July you would expect.  Except beer.

It's been quiet in our neighborhood, but there has been a lot of excitement nearby.  Keep those guys in your prayers.
