Snow on the mountains

This morning was sunny and the sky was clear. After a week or so of on-again-off-again rain, it felt like a nice spring day. Since it was still early in the morning when we all woke up and met outside, the smog hadn’t settled in and we could see the mountains. They were white again, and they looked like a picture (or a puzzle). But we didn’t enjoy them long. Considering how well I felt Friday after running up and down stairs, today was a little different. On Friday I could wear my iPod and go as fast or as slow as I wanted. Today I was with some friends, I didn’t have my iPod, and the group wanted to go faster than I wanted to. By the fourth trip I felt like I was going to have a heart attack! These were different stairs. Not quite as steep, but there were more steps per flight.

After working up a good sweat, I headed back to my apartment to shower and change. I could have eaten everything for breakfast because I was so hungry. My body was craving fuel.

Work was extremely busy. Chip is just piling it on to Mike and I, so the day passed quickly. We had a surprise new guy arrive at the office. His name is Patrick and he’s coming in from Oklahoma. I would have been a little more friendly, but I didn’t have time to talk.

I cut out of there a little early to try to get some sleep. I cut my hair again, so I’ll be good for another week or so in the hair cut department.

  1. I wish I could see snow on the mountains. All we're having here is rain. *sigh*

  2. I think Patrick is a wonderful name, but Spongebob has ruined it for me forever. I could never give it to a [theoretical] child, and I can't read it without giggling.
