Brock made a joke at lunch today about closing our office this afternoon and taking the boat out on the lake. It’s such a nice day. The thermometer says 50 degrees, but I think it must have been warmer than that. And we have no boat. Or lake to go out in. But it was fun to talk about for a while.
Oh my gosh, I just talked to my new suitemate for 2.5 hours. I’ve talked to Dustin more in one day than I have my old suite mate in one month. When I went back to my suite at lunch, I noticed Dustin had started to move his stuff in. He wasn’t there, but there were three big bags and a huge back pack. I’m glad I moved when I did. SO when I got back to my room tonight we just started talking about all kinds of stuff. He’s from St Louis so we talked about that for a while, we talked about Starship Troopers, LOST (seasons 1-4), and I don’t know what else. I think that we’re going to get along great. Just different than me and Mike.
Since others of you also agree with my ‘last verse’ theory, I’m going to print out a copy of the song including that last verse and ask the group if they’ll sing it.
Tonight was movie night at work. We watched “Mall Cop”. It was pretty funny. Mindless and… Mindless. Good to watch one time.
I can’t think of anything else that that happened today because it’s after two in the morning. If I can remember anything else, I’ll write it down and include it in tomorrow’s entry.

I saw the pictures of your "suite" that you sent. Not exactly the roomiest of accommodations, is it!
ReplyDeleteMall Cop? I couldn't get over his name - Paul Blart. Yuck. I haven't seen it. I've fallen asleep on Michael Clayton two times this weekend, for a grand total of at least three times I've fallen asleep on it. But it's really good. Have you seen it? Your other roommate seemed to have a lot going on, so that was probably it more than anything. I'm glad you and Dustin get along so fabulously.
ReplyDeleteI cannot WAIT till you get caught up on the current season of Lost! It is SO freaking awesome! I've always been a big fan, but this season has disposed of a lot of the "theatrical" conceits, and is just straight story (yes, it jumps around, but not in an unnecessarily confusing way). I don't know of anyone else in my tiny circle of acquaintances watching it, unfortunately, so I have no one to *squee* with, but I'm excited for you to see it!
ReplyDeleteSara - Michael Clayton is a BAD MOVIE. It is well-acted, and they filled it with amazing people, but the story is crap. They tried to be "cute" with the timeline, and it only takes away from the story. So don't feel bad that it puts you to sleep - as opposed to other movies that have done it to you, this time it's totally warranted!
Katrina - thanks for saying that. I thought it was pretty good which is why I kept watching it the next few nights. But I still haven't made it through. I've given up on Lost awhile ago, sorry! My mind dumps plot information rather quickly so with the time spacing, I couldn't remember what was going on anymore. Plus, falling asleep on half the episodes did NOT help. One day I might catch up on all the DVD's. I loved seasons 1 and 2 when they were more character-based, background information. But that stuff is what I like. Michael and I have totally different tastes in movies/shows usually.
