Nukeuler

That’s pronounced “Nuke-you-lure”. A common form for electricity or a type of weapon. I find it so funny that highly educated people pronounce “nuclear” like this. I heard it twice today.

Someone asked what the New York Times test was. Here’s the background… Not everyone knows (or realizes) that anything they write on the internets can be copied and forwarded and you never know who or where the words you write may go. SO you have to imagine that the words you write before you hit send might end up on the front page of the New York Times. How you feel if the words you write were read by your mother, boss, wife, kids, friends… Would you regret what you wrote? Would it get you fired or divorced or would you just be really embarrassed? That is the New York Times test.

Today was a nice day. Our weather was in the sixtys. The snow was melting on the mountain sides. I think that in a few weeks that all of our snow will be gone. But I didn’t get to enjoy much of the out doors.

Today was my video teleconference (VTC) Saturday. I was busy all day. We started at six thirty at night and finished up at eight thirty. I felt drained and I was so glad that it was finished. And since it was Saturday, that meant it was movie night. The movie of the night was Valkyrie. I really wanted to like it, but I was not in the mood to watch a heavy movie. I’ll have to watch it again when I can enjoy it.

I’m exhausted. ‘Night.

  1. The weather here has been gorgeous too. I think we reached 73 today. Thanks for explaining the New York Times test. Although I'm sure whatever I say would probably land on a much less reputable source. Who knows? I heard Valkyrie was supposed to be quite bad. I kind of wanted to see it though. "Nuk-you-ler" drives me crazy too. Clearly there is no vowel between the c and the l.
