It was nice to sleep in a little bit this morning. It wasn't exactly a half day, but it is nice coming into work a little late.
Once we got into work, things took off like a rocket. So we were really busy all the live-long day, but somehow we finished up at kind of the same time. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't go as far as to say "finish up" as much as everyone gets that "I've done all I can do for one day and now my brain is fried and the world isn't going to end just because I quit working" kind of a feeling. Sometimes we all seem to get that feeling at the same time, and sometimes one or two of us has REAL work that can't wait. Everyone is usually nice about helping out when someone has one of those "end of the world" taskers.
One of the funny things about being away from home is missing out on all of the pop-culture things that happen in our absence. Like music and movies. Someone was mentioning movies that are out now, and I remember seeing those previews before I left. There seems to be a lot of background stuff that we miss out on. I consider things like spouse, kids, graduations, those kinds of things "foreground stuff" and everything else is background stuff. The stuff that happens in the background of your life.
Joey is the last member of the Blue Team from Boston who did not come down to Kissimmee with us. I'm still not sure why. His replacement is coming in tomorrow to work here with us. Tony is coming in from Arkansas. I forgot we had an office there. And since Joey didn't come down here with us, I don't know what Tony is going to be doing.
I am continuing to learn a lot from Chip. There is SO much going on with Spencer being gone, that he's being pulled in multiple directions. And with Chip leaving on Tuesday, I have to pick up the slack when he's gone. Luckily Spencer will be back on Monday, but there's going to be a little pain. I don't think I'll be too sad when I leave here. I like what I do, and I'd like to think that I'm good at it... It's certainly outside of my comfort zone, but I'll be glad to pass it on.
And speaking of passing it on, I have other things that I have to get done tonight before I head back to my room.
