We got us some more rain today. It’s the five p.m. Georgia thunderstorm kind of rain. It was back and forth sunny/cloudy all day and then during the mid afternoon I was walking down the hallway and I saw through the door that leads outside that the sky was black. SO I poked my head out the door and it was pouring! So I took care of whatever it was that I was doing, and not thirty minutes later the sun was shining again.
It reminded me of when I bought my Jeep in Savannah. I insisted on having the top down as much as possible that summer and of course it rained almost every day between four thirty and five thirty. I got a lot of practice putting the top up on the Jeep Just in time for the rain to stop. In Illinois there were four or five of us that drove Jeeps and we’d try to park near each other. When it rained there, we’d all run outside and help each other put the tops up.
Anyway, the point of my story is that it rained today, but we need a day or two of rain for the farmers. And to get the dust and pollen out of the air.
Today was busy again. I finished up two projects and got ready for tomorrow. Spencer is should be coming back within the next couple of days and Chip is getting ready to go to a different conference. So a couple of the reports that Chip takes care of will be taken over by yours truly. Let’s see how that works out.
Sean, Shaun, and I have to be more careful. I left for work early and Shaun went for a run. Sean got up and thought that we both had left for work so he took off and locked the apartment up. Shaun got back from his run and was locked out. And it’s not like there is any way to get with without physically breaking the door. So Shaun had to find someone with a cell phone to call me or Sean. I wasn’t in my office and Sean had just stepped out. In all honesty, I’m surprised this hasn’t happened before now. Shaun was none too pleased about being locked out of the apartment. We hardly ever lock the place up, but it was an honest mistake. Sean didn’t know that Shaun was coming back.
But we’re all friends again. No harm, no foul. Time for bed. Good night.
