Today was kind of rough. I was really tired and the day just dragged by. Work went well enough. Though I feel like I hardly got anything done. We have a new guy in the office named Doug. Doug is from Tennessee and he works in another section, but is using one of the empty desks. We didn’t see him too much today because he’s still getting all of his stuff taken care of today.
Before church today I printed out the lyrics to “Amazing Grace” with the 10,000 years verse. Everyone was open to sing it, so that made me happy. I couldn’t really imagine someone NOT wanting to sing that song. Jim (one of the other singers) also wondered why our hymnal didn’t have that verse. I didn’t get any feedback from anyone who was at the service, but I think we did well. The congregation seemed to like it. But then again, is there anyone who doesn’t like that song?
Dustin and I seem to get along great. He got back to our suite shortly after I did. We have a lot in common and he’s not as introverted as Mike was. As Dustin and I were talking this evening I broke my chair. I was leaning back on two legs and one of the back legs broke. I should have listened to my mom. “Keep all four legs on the floor! You wouldn’t have broken the chair if you had been sitting correctly.” Jeez. I hope I can get a new chair tomorrow. I can still use the chair if I sit on the front part of the seat.
Hooray for March! I don’t have to worry about February anymore!

Amen about February! See you later. I love flipping the calendar to the next page right now. Only four more flips until July.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad everyone was down with the final verse! And no, I've never heard anyone say, "Amazing Grace is such a lame song."
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think February is an *awesome* month, but I'm glad we're a bit closer to you coming home!
